Both recipes are cooked low and slow using a sous vide method, which uses low temperatures and retains moisture by cooking food in its own juices. That moisture retention, combined with a fine grind, is what prevents ground bone from being a safety concern. All Smallbatch foods are finely ground to approximately 1/8"–1/4", and cooked products are ground a second time after cooking. Seeing small pieces of ground bone in your pet's food is completely normal.
