Taurine is an important nutrient naturally found in heart and other organ meats. Due to ongoing supply challenges affecting the consistent availability of rabbit hearts and organs, we’ve added taurine to help maintain the recipe’s intended nutritional profile from batch to batch. We always strive to provide nutrients through high-quality, whole-food ingredients and we’re hopeful that improved availability could allow us to increase the inclusion of rabbit hearts and organs and reassess the need for supplemental taurine in the future. Any adjustment would depend on reliable supply, formulation, and testing.
