Both freeze-dried and frozen raw start with the same high-quality ingredients — humanely raised meat, bone, and organ, and certified organic produce. The difference is in how they're preserved and how you use them.

Frozen Raw
Minimally processed and preserved through freezing. Higher moisture content supports hydration and is the most whole-food format. Requires freezer storage and thawing before serving.

Freeze-Dried Raw
Moisture is removed through freeze-drying, resulting in a shelf-stable, lightweight product that's easy to store and ideal for travel or households with limited freezer space. Rehydrating with warm water before serving as a meal is recommended.

Nutritionally, both formats are comparable — freeze-drying is not a heat process and doesn't significantly alter nutrients the way heat-based processing does. The main tradeoffs are convenience, cost, and moisture content.
